Case Studies - TransportationNew CIS Project at Ten Rail Stations on the Medway Valley LineSecure Vision was awarded the contract for the supply and installation of 19 new CIS screens at 10 Southeastern Rail Stations on the Medway Valley Line in partnership with Ferrograph in May 2008.
The project consisted of the installation of 19 new Customer Information Displays (CIS) located at 10 Southeastern Railway Stations in the Kent / Medway area. The installation was carried out between June and July 2008 and was delivered on time and within budget. The CIS were powered locally and the data information communication was utilizing a GSM network. Secure Vision carried out all station surveys and we were also involved in the bespoke bracket design where required. The stations were Yalding, Wateringbury, East Farleigh, Maidstone Barracks, Aylesford, New Hythe, Snodland, Halling, Cuxton and Swale.
The above display installed at Swale station, required considerable bespoke bracketry to be designed and manufactured, to facilitate the pole being mounted on the existing raised, prefabricated concrete platform.
Secure Vision were also responsible for the civil ground works where required at 6 of these stations. The general scope of works consisted of the following:-
